SNI’s DEEP connects dynamic data about animal and plant life with digital creatives. Land steward communities permanently produce data about their work that renders the complexity of ‘nature’ comprehensible. With DEEP digital creatives bring this data to life in virtual worlds.

Proceeds from sales of these avatars benefits Kenya Wildlife Trust, an innovative conservation organization working to preserve predator ecosystems in the Mara, and our proud partner in the development of our new nature-data-to-gaming-asset platform.
Moonsama
Our gaming ecosystem partners pounced on the chance to collect and trade lion avatars based on real-life data from predators in Kenya's Maasai Mara conservation area.

Bridging the fascinating dynamics of predators’ interactions to online creative communities.
Lion avatars are roaming the digital sphere with the help of a vibrant community of Web3 creatives having fun exploring the worlds they invented.

Moonsama is taking the lead in creating eco-derivatives, linking data about physical events to their story-telling in the virtual world. Their lion avatars are based on ever-changing data produced by the Kenya Wildlife Trust (KWT) about lion pride dynamics which include alliances, coalitions, and territorial competition.
In creating their very own digital representation of the Mara lions, Moonsama is amplifying the ecological groundwork of KWT.

The fascinating complexity and unpredictability of ecological interactions and the connection between animals add a new layer of empathy to online interactions.
The Moonsama community finds unique value in what the DEEP framework offers as it allows them to:
Connect
to and bond with the fascinating life of predators in the Maasai Mara
Generate
funding for KWTs work of restoring and conserving biodiverse ecosystems
Integrate
the unpredictability of ever-changing dynamics of lion group behaviors into their virtual worlds
